Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The quote tool asks for gender, date of birth, general health, tobacco use, coverage amount and term length. Those six answers are enough to return carrier rates. Your name, address and health details are only collected if you choose to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
They are the rates each carrier quotes for the health class you selected. The final premium is set by the carrier after underwriting, which may confirm, improve or change the class. Nothing on this site is an offer of insurance or a promise of a particular price.
What happens when I click Apply?
You continue into a secure online application run by the carriers' application platform, prefilled with the answers you gave here. You can stop and resume, and you sign electronically. The application is handled by Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129).
Will I need a medical exam?
It depends on the carrier, the amount and your answers. Many term products now offer an accelerated path with no exam for eligible applicants; each quote on this site says whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required.
Is a longer term better?
A term should cover the years when someone would be financially hurt by your death: a mortgage, children at home, a business loan. Longer terms cost more per month but lock the rate for longer. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years side by side.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool does not collect contact details, we do not sell or share visitor data, and our measurement is cookieless. See the privacy page for the exact list of what is collected and by whom.
